Let’s start thinking ahead at the new year and what CFF can do for you!

Well, tonight at midnight it will officially be January.  So, who are you going to kiss at our CFF New Year’s Eve fiesta?!?!  Now that we got that out of the way, what do your fitness and health goals look like for 2014?  It’s that time of year again when we get to press the “reset” button.  When we can forget about the hardships of 2013 and move onto an exciting new frontier, 2014.  A new year, a new beginning, filled with hope, family, and friends. 

Thinking about goals, which goals are you turning into SMART goals?  How are you tracking those goals?  How will you stay on track with these goals?  If you don’t have any goals for the new year, set some.  There’s no point in celebrating a new year unless you plan on improving on the past (unless you are just extremely happy that 2013 is over!).  Let’s enjoy this first month of the year and feed off each others’ energy and help support each other on their new ventures!  Remember, CrossFit is fun!

When you think about your fitness and healthy goals it’s important to think about consistency.  You will never be successful with your goals if you don’t have that regularity.  So, come to the gym 4-5 times a week whenever possible, practice the movements (or progressions) you are working at, congratulate yourself, clean up the parts of your life that don’t support what you do in the gym, and share your goals and achievements (no matter how small) with others.  I can’t express how great a feeling it is to read posts from CFF athletes/ coaches to CFF athletes/ coaches on Facebook that congratulate, share happiness, sympathy, and simply say “I miss seeing you at the box”.  You are my favorite people, and I’m excited to see how many more people we can add and make a difference for at CFF in 2014!

Let’s party like it’s 2014!  Starting at 8:30pm, bring your own beverage and if you’d like to cook something awesome, great!  We’ll have food, drinks, and a resolution photo booth (whatever that is), and of course your friends dressed like they are at a formal dinner.  Nothing could be more interesting than seeing your workout buddies dressed in tuxes, diamonds, and furs (yes, I plan on wearing all three).  Let’s send 2013 off with a bang (and a burpee or two).
